  • Activity increasing in the Market

    At the Shawingan Lake DFH Real Estate Ltd. office, we are noticing an increase in activity from both Buyers and Sellers.  Historically the Spring market is one of our most active.  I recently listed a home at 2365 Robertson Road in the Shawnigan Beach Estates.  It was listed on March 1, there was a viewing on March 3, with a subsequent offer to purchase.  It became unconditional on March 13.

    The negative press has impacted the market but there have been more positive stories in the past week.  Interest rates are low, and there are a wide range of homes to choose from.  It's a great time for first time home Buyers, as well as investors to get into the market.  People always need a place to call home.

    The weather has improved and activity in our local Real Estate market has increased.  Our office is experiencing more phone calls and enquiries from both Buyers and Sellers.  I had multiple offers on my Listing on Meadowview and now have an unconditional sale.  The sale price is $5100 over the asking price of $479,900.  This may be an indication that there will be more sales in the near future in the Cowichan Valley.
